Chapter Three: Pru’s Documentary

Dear Dr. Sue Mara Hartford,
My name is Prudence Walker-Jones and I’m a sixth grader at Uptown Loft, a K-12 school on the Upper West Side. My Pedagogical Track or, as me and my friends call them, PT is Government and Politics and I am doing a project about Pedestrian Biohazards and I want to interview you.
I hope you’re still reading my email. When I saw the flier for the Civic Sanitarian job fair posted in the park and saw your email address on it I knew I had to try and talk to you. My project is a mini documentary about the Natural Waste Unit and why that work is so important. Lots of people, especially kids, are scared of the NWU. But I think it’s because they just don’t know about what the NWU is doing and why they do the things they do. So it would be nice if I could talk to you to get some info for my project. My mini documentary.
You can call me Pru, that’s what everyone calls me.
Thank you. Please respond to my email. This is really important to me and my project.
Sincerely,
Prudence Walker-Jones
